Kids really do see things differently

According to a study  by Dr. Jim Stone at the University of Sheffield, UK, children really do see things differently - and apparently this lasts until they are about 13 years old.

Juggling quadcopter is AWESOME

I've been following the development of this little gadget for months. The latest demonstration is pretty damn impressive. The two quadcopters are based on the 'Hummingbird' quadrotor made by Ascending Technologies. The state of the art Vicon motion capture system provides the localization data to the robots and makes extremely precise and dynamic control possible. Can't imagine this kind of damage being fixed in Halifax in 6 months, let alone 6 days! What you see is an incredible road-repair turn around on an earthquake-damaged road. The 9.0 magnitude quake obliterated a stretch of the Great Kanto Highway in Naka, leaving a 150 meter crater-like crack. Now it looks like it's never had a pothole. Incredible
